jackal
Dear you,
I am stuck in a sharp fence
The barbs bury themselves in my flesh
It hurts. I move forward, pushing harder
I will die here
That's ok
It’s warm out, fluffy white clouds brush across the sky
I smell a sweetness from over a hill, berries maybe
There is a fence in my way
My paws pound over the soft green grass, i am chasing
I see them dart over a bluff
I will not catch them now
But i might
I run faster
I am howling, it means nothing
Does that bother you
What would it mean if it meant anything?
I am sure you tell yourself a story about my sound
But to me it is nothing but what it is
As shallow as a stone
As high as the sky
As low as my feet
I am howling and it means nothing
What greater meaning is there?
I stop
I smell a sweetness from over the hill
My paws pound over the soft green grass, i am running
I dart over a bluff
they will not catch me now
But they might
I run faster
I am sleeping
I am dreaming
I smell a sweetness from over the hill
There is a fence in my way
